This week finds me in Jersey City directly across the Hudson from Manhattan and it doesn’t suck. The hotel is right next to the train station that links directly to the city through a super sketchy tunnel under a deep ass river. The escalator down is the first clue that you’re going deep but once you’re (I feel like I should try to set a personal you’re record right now) down there it looks like every other New York subway. And while I’m on the subway system, its been more than 10 years since I’ve been here and nothing has improved. Its still hard to navigate from an outsider perspective. I’m sure natives would tell me to shut the fuck up and stay home then but I’m just observing.
That second shot is of the ball where it rests until it’s time to celebrate the end of my birthday.
The Statue of Liberty isn’t as tall in real life as you would think but Batman was there to protect her and I think Sonic the Hedgehog hit a growth spurt because he looks way different.
We walked around Time Square which was fun and full of weirdos. Then we went to eat where I definitively proved that this meal prep eating thing is tough to pull off on the road. I’m trying here but not sure on results. Oh well, I didn’t drink at least which is saying a lot.
Not who that is in the distance but I met the real statue and that is obviously bullshit. I am a sophisticate.
