That’s weird
I was on a longer than normal walk earlier today and as I thought my way along I kept coming back to propping my life up. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not quite ready to date but someone to hang out with would be nice. I think that some people around me are getting concerned as they can see through the bullshit that are my weekend plans. I came to the conclusion that I need to make a list and start crossing some shit off. Item number one is to fix my attitude regarding work. My boss isn’t going anywhere anytime soon so I can suck it up or move on.
Next up is the social situation. I’ve just got to find something or things to join and get out interacting with other humans. My brain is spinning on all fronts so work attitude is job one everything else will just be temporarily propped up until I can get to it. That conclusion was reached about half way through today’s trek and seconds after reaching that conclusion I glanced to my right to notice the building version of myself right now…
I have no idea what building trouble prompts that type of support response but sometimes the universe just likes to freak me out. It’s disconcerting to think the words “prop up” and glance over at that apparatus. I kept walking until I could get some understanding about what exactly I was looking at and that is the above picture. For context this was a completely new route and that building is on a street I’ve never even driven on before so my subconscious mind had no chance to catalogue the site and save it up to screw with me.
Also this was the maiden voyage of my bone conducting headphones. I got them on Prime Day after months of stalking them on the internets. Not really pricey but 40% less than I had seen anywhere so I grabbed them. They are weird because they go in front of your ears not in or on them and deliver sound through your bones. This is awesome for maintaining situational awareness whilst strolling through an urban environment and they worked as advertised.
Speaking of this environ… I might not stay down here when my lease is up in the spring. The little town we were in this week for work is called Stillwater and it was awesome. Only a half hour from the office it’s an awesome town with a more of my crowd nightlife. At first glance the rents closest to the action are a bit steep but who knows…
