Early view
I do so love the view from my office window in the early morning. No matter where you live there is beauty to be found. Before this sunrise I was having an absolute shit morning until this helped me turn things around.
The streets of downtown Saint Paul are not what I’m used to in size or marking. What I mean by that is roads vary in width and the lanes are a rough guess in the winter darkness. Today I wasn’t the only victim of this system.
A dude with Wisconsin plates got between a city bus and a guy with Illinois plates (me). He tried to drive in a non-lane and as the bus ignored him and inched over he panicked and slammed on the brakes.
I didn’t give him much more thought until he passed me honking only to slam on the brakes. I stopped in time but I was pissed. His door opened so I did likewise and just as I stepped out and stood up straight he took off.
I realize that I might look like Magilla Gorilla getting out of my little vehicle but that’s no reason to cut our discourse short. I guess it’s easier to road rage at a small cartruck thing than a bus. But when I got to the office I was still salty.
Views like this make it easier to reset.
