I’m writing this later than usual due to a convergence of special circumstances. My son came up this week Wednesday as he is doing his senior project on business communication and picking my company had a lot of advantages. I was teaching and none of his friends were coming up that early so he got to experience his first bus trip. The stories are awesome for such a short ride but it ended up with a fight between a passenger and a terminal employee as he waited for me to pick him up.
Then he spent Thursday sitting in the back of my class with a new employee I just hired. I’m not sure if he knew exactly what I did… but he knows now. Sixteen plus hours of observation and interviews will give you the gist. It was good to have him in the room. He has spots he likes to eat in town so we hit those and by Friday night we were beat. So instead of going out for food he picked a delivery burrito place called Man vs. Fries. Mistakes were made.
Yesterday was his birthday so more eating and we ended the night watching the Minnesota high school hockey finals at a local place.
It’s been a good albeit filling and tiring week. I’m dropping him off at a friends today and they are heading to his final college Spring Break. Then I’m coming back to continue packing. This is moving week.
